We are a small nonprofit that works to advance sustainability and improve the environment. Last summer of 2008 when I joined the company as Office Manager and Executive Assistant, I was asked to find a cleaning service for the house that served as our office. The company had never had a cleaning service before, which was evident from the accumulation of dust and dirt everywhere!
To be in alignment with our own mission, it was important that the company we chose use cleaning solutions that were non‐toxic and environmentally friendly. I began my search by calling well‐known cleaning services and set up consultations. I was impressed with the fancy brochures and detail of services the sales representatives presented to me. The prices were equally impressive! Unfortunately they would only use their cleaning solutions, which did not meet our criteria, or considered us to be “residential” because we worked out of a house. And it took days for them to reply to my additional inquires about their services.
I also made an appointment with The Dirt Destroyers, a small local company. The owner, Jackie Clash, stopped by the house and we did a walk‐through. His approach was simple and direct, no fancy brochures or sales pitch, but he was agreeable to using whatever cleaning supplies we wanted and would set up a cleaning schedule according to our needs. We decided to contract with the Dirt Destroyers and have not looked back since!
Jackie and his team did a great job of cleaning the house in a professional and friendly manner. If there was a change or issue, it was immediately addressed and carried through. Jackie has been flexible and accommodating with our schedule and cleaning needs, and is a “hands‐on” owner who makes sure the job is done well.
Last November 2008 we moved to office space in the Wisconsin Medical Society Building. We continued our service agreement with The Dirt Destroyers at the new building, and they have provided the same top‐quality service here. I would highly recommend The Dirt Destroyers.

Keeping my home clean and organized has always been important to me, but trying to keep up with the mess was taking up all of my spare time. Jackie and The Dirt Destroyers staff did an amazing job at making my home a pleasure to come home to. The service is affordable, well worth it, and they made sure my home was spotless with every visit. Once my employment situation changed, I no longer needed the service anymore, but if I return to work again, I would not hesitate to rehire The Dirt Destroyers.
